A few years ago, I celebrated what could be called “halftime”, my 50th birthday and it prompted more positive reflection than I had anticipated. I found myself digging deep to examine and reflect on my experiences as a leader. As a practicing project management professional, teacher, mentor and coach, I had a desire to give back and pass on my most valuable lessons learned over the past 20 years.
Please, make no mistake, I don’t mean to imply that I’ve “graduated” as I will always desire to be a student; striving to grow, when it comes to leadership learning. In fact I believe we all must learn while we lead.
My purpose in writing this book, and I believe my responsibility as a leader, is to share some experiences and concepts that have strengthened me through the years in the hopes that what I have learned will benefit others.
